Arsenal are reportedly looking to complete a deal for Atalanta ace Ademola Lookman this summer to bolster their options out wide, as per Caught Offside.
The Gunners are looking to make crucial improvements to their squad to ensure they are best-placed to compete for major silverware next season. An array of injuries meant Mikel Arteta's men struggled last time out, and they have already taken steps to ensure this does not happen again.
Ex-Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi is set to play an important role in midfield next term, while Cristian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga have both been sworn in to bulk up the squad depth. Strengthening in attack is likely to be somewhere next on their agenda, and Arsenal fans could see a new face on the wings next season.
Arsenal Eyeing Lookman Move
The winger is linked with a Premier League return
According to Caught Offside, Arsenal have reignited their interest in Lookman, after previously seeking a deal for the Nigerian international last summer. It is believed that Atalanta are holding out for offers worth around €45-50m (£38-43m) excluding add-ons.
Despite struggling previously in stints at Premier League clubs, including Leicester City, Fulham and Everton, the 27-year-old, previously dubbed 'one of the best players in the world', has excelled at Atalanta, most prominently scoring a memorable hat-trick to win the Europa League final in 2024. Last term, he registered an impressive 20 goals and six assists in 40 outings across all competitions last term to help his side finish third in Serie A.

Reports suggest he is prepared to stake his claim in England's top-flight once more, and Liverpool are eyeing a move for his services alongside Arsenal.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have been linked with an array of wide forwards, including Nico Williams and Rodrygo, but they have been unable to strike a deal to land either due to the considerable finances required. Sporting director Andrea Berta could turn his attention towards pursuing a move for Lookman as a more affordable option in comparison to the aforementioned duo.
