Barcelona have confirmed that [goalkeeper Ander Astralaga](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/6/26/24455629/ander-astralaga-to-leave-barcelona-for-season-long-loan-at-granada) has joined Granada on loan for the 2025-26 season.
The stopper moves in a bid to continue his development and will hopefully be able to enjoy regular football next season with Granada.
Astralaga split his time between Barcelona Atletic last season and the first team but did not manage any minutes with Hansi Flick’s side.
He did, however, speak of his disappointment after seeing Barcelona Atletic relegated.
“It hurts a lot to fall like this. We would have liked to close the season differently, but in the end, it’s part of the game. I can only be proud of how this team has fought until the very end,” he posted on social media. “I want to thank all culers and those who have supported us unconditionally throughout the season. It doesn’t end here. We’ll be back.”
Diego Kochen is now expected to take over as Barcelona Atletic stopper, while Astralaga heads away for a new challenge in the second division.
