Arch Manning has plenty of quarterback role models within his own family. His uncles, Peyton and Eli, carved out long careers with multiple Super Bowl victories. His grandfather, Archie, also had plenty of success in the league.
Despite having some terrific quarterbacks to learn from in his own family, the Texas Longhorns quarterback is studying some other elite quarterbacks as he prepares for the season.
During the Manning Passing Academy, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft was asked which quarterbacks he studies.
Manning was quick to say [Buffalo Bills](https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/) quarterback Josh Allen and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
“I’m watching a lot of Josh Allen and Joe Burrow right now,” Manning said. “Those are my guys. They’re dogs. I’ve watched some of their college film. They’re just good players, elite competitors and fun to watch.”
Manning would go on to praise Allen’s willingness to use his arm and legs to do whatever it took to help Buffalo.
“He’s just the ultimate football player,” Manning added. “If something’s not there, he’s going to make something happen and do whatever he can to make his team win.”
In addition to being projected as the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Texas is projected to be a top-five team this season with Manning leading the team.
