Jarell Quansah is set to undergo his Bayer Leverkusen medical on Monday, according to reports.
Fresh from winning the U21 European Championships with team mates Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton, Quansah is set to bring the curtain down on his Anfield career.
The 22-year-old will leave Liverpool in a move that could reach a reported £35M.
Liverpool move on to defensive reinforcements
DaveOCKOP.com exclusively revealed that Liverpool held talks with Marc Guehi’s representatives back in March.
Since then, negotiations have continued between the parties as Liverpool look to bolster their defensive options.
Last week, we revealed that Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign the England international.
The 24-year-old defender, who has just one year left on his contract at Crystal Palace, is widely regarded as one of the club’s greatest ever defenders.
His strong performances and leadership at the back have made him an integral part of the team.
Despite the fact that his contract is nearing its end, he is expected to command a significant transfer fee, reflecting both his talent and the value he brings to any potential suitor.
The combination of his reputation and the limited time left on his deal ensures that he will be a highly sought-after asset in the upcoming transfer window.
It can be exclusively revealed that positive discussions have intensified last week with direct contact between the club and the player.
Arsenal were interested this term, and Newcastle are believed to have maintained an interest in the central defender.
Capped 23 times by England with proven Premier League pedigree, Guehi will be a welcome addition to the champions’ squad.
With Jarell Quansah’s move close to being finalised, expect Liverpool’s move for Guehi to accelerate in the coming days.
There have been positive discussions on Guehi’s side over the past number of days.
There is growing confidence that a fee will be agreed with Palace for Guehi to join this summer, rather than on a free next summer.
Personal terms will not be an issue with Guehi, fully behind the move.
