The Utah Jazz traded Collin Sexton to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, and the move left fans all saying the same thing.
The Jazz sent Sexton and a 2031 second-round pick to Charlotte for Jusuf Nurkic. Both Sexton and Nurkic are owed nearly $20 million for the upcoming season, so it’s clear Utah wanted to move Sexton. That left fans surprised at how little Utah got for Sexton.

Danny Ainge held onto Collon Sexton for two years too long just to trade him for “Nurkic” and a second round pick pic.twitter.com/KRYxZ9XA0g https://t.co/Hh1QjRlkhZ

Utah has Keyonte George and Isaiah Collier at point guard. Plus they just drafted Walter Clayton Jr., whom they likely prefer to give more action to.
Sexton, 26, played three seasons for the Jazz after beginning his career playing four seasons for the Cavaliers. He averaged 18.4 points and 4.2 assists on 48 percent shooting from the field in the most recent season. Sexton originally was the No. 8 overall pick by Cleveland out of Alabama.
