Arsenal Enter Transfer Race for Chelsea Target With PSG Clause as Gyökeres, Sesko Alternative

Chelsea and Manchester United arekeeping a close eye on Hugo Ekitiké’s situation, as the striker appears set to leave Eintracht Frankfurt. PSGare in line to receive 20 percent of any transfer fee thanks to a sell-on clause.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsearemain seriously interested in bringing in the 22-year-old.

“Hugo Ekitiké is really appreciated by Chelsea, he’s a player they really like, but at the moment the negotiation is not closed at all because Chelsea were asking for information to Eintracht Frankfurt about the player and their answer was that his asking price is €100m,” Romano noted.

“So, that is the price tag from Eintracht, and at the moment that’s too expensive for Chelsea. Let’s see if the price changes or if Chelsea will decide to change their strategies later in the market.”

Arsenal are reportedly ready to join the race for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Ekitiké, according toBild. The 23-year-old impressed last season with 22 goals and 11 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions, and Frankfurtare said to value him at €100 million.

Manchester United, Liverpooland Chelsea have allbeen linked with the France U21 international, but with Arsenal missing out on RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres, the Gunnersare now expected to make a move.

While speaking to CaughtOffside, journalist Christian Falk stated that Premier League clubs are balking at the price that Eintracht Frankfurtare asking for.

“There is no completely new update on Hugo Ekitiké. Eintracht continue to insist on €100m, but it is questionable whether they will get it,” Falk noted.

“Chelsea, Liverpooland Manchester United still have him on their radar. Liverpool could make a move once they have sold Darwin Nunez.

“United are the only club to have spoken to Eintracht about Ekitiké so far. There have been no negotiations or even an offer as things currently stand.”
