James McAtee has been on the radar of Leeds United for some time now.
Daniel Farke will be pleased with the business that Leeds have done so far, especially after the arrival of Jaka Bijol, though he will be intent on adding some more new faces before pre-season gets underway.
Several players have been linked with a move to Elland Road this summer, including Manchester City’s McAtee, who could be the chosen one to replace Brenden Aaronson.
Aaronson struggled last time in the Premier League, and Leeds will almost certainly be looking to upgrade on the USMNT international, and a door may have now opened for the 49ers to seal an excellent addition.

Leeds still have a lot of work to do between now and the start of the Premier League campaign, and bolstering their creativity and attacking output will be high on their list of priorities.

Amid links to Nikola Krstovic, it is evident that the Whites are keen to sign a new striker this summer, though they will be just as intent on adding more quality to the areas supplying their number nine, which is where McAtee comes in.

Via a report from The Times (29 June), City will hold out for around £25million for his sale, which would almost certainly prove to be a bargain for any side.
McAtee has just played a crucial role for England in their U21 Euros triumph, having impressed under Pep Guardiola whenever given the chance.
Leeds have held interest for a while now, and may finally be able to push ahead with a deal.

Leeds cannot afford to stumble any more this summer
Having already missed out on two signings to Sunderland, the Whites will be somewhat behind in their pursuit of new arrivals.
However, with just less than two months remaining until the new campaign gets underway, time is on the side of Leeds, who will be afforded no margin for error when it comes to recruitment.
