Oliver Glasner and Crystal Palace have been linked with two new attacking reinforcements.

Crystal Palace look set to lose centre-back Marc Guehi to Liverpool this summer with transfer rumours of a switch to Anfield this summer hotting up over the weekend.

Crystal Palace are preparing for a Europa League campaign next season and are set to bolster their squad in order to make a mark on the tournament and continue the momentum generated by that famous FA Cup win.

Crystal Palace target relegated Ligue 1 striker

One of the players brought to Crystal Palace could be Stade de Reims striker Oumar Diakite. The 21-year-old endured relegation to Ligue 2 with the club last season and scored just four goals in that campaign.

That’s not the most prolific return but, still with plenty of time to develop, it appears that Glasner and the club may see potential in Diakite. Africa Foot claim that Crystal Palace have sent a £9 million bid to Reims for the Ivory Coast international.

It’s added that Crystal Palace have been tracking the player ‘for some time’ and believe that his game could develop by learning from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eddie Nketiah in south London. It’s suggested that the Eagles have offered the player a five-year deal and that a move to the Premier League would appeal to Diakite.

Eagles compete with Arsenal for rising star loved by Erling Haaland

An alternative option for Crystal Palace could come in RB Leipzig man Antonio Nusa. The 20-year-old forward is a versatile option and can play across the front three. He grabbed five goals and eight assists in a breakthrough season at Leipzig last term.

CaughtOffside carry reports of Eagles interest, via TuttoBolognaWeb, with Arsenal also known to be suitors for the player. Nusa is valued at £30 million and would be a significantly more expensive investment that Diakite, but could be seen as a long term replacement for Eze.

The Norwegian is also said to be tempted by a move to the Premier League and Crystal Palace’s reputation for developing young talent could play into their favour. Nusa has been much praised for his progress and status as a rising star, including by Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

Speaking after playing alongside Nusa on international duty, Haaland said: “He’s exceptional. We need to be careful not to put too much pressure on him, even though he’s incredibly talented. His continued development is what matters most."

In other news, Crystal Palace now 'considering' £29.9m Bundesliga attacker as Eberechi Eze replacement.
