Thierno Barry is one of several strikers to have been linked with a switch to Everton this summer.
The Toffees are yet to bring any new faces to Merseyside this summer, with the permanent addition of Carlos Alcaraz the only piece of incoming business.
That is expected to change over the next few weeks, and with the PSR window set to refresh on 1 July, Everton supporters can expect to see much more movement.
Several players have been linked with a move to Everton this summer, including Barry, with a fresh update emerging on the future of the Villarreal forward.

Everton target Barry as La Liga exit now on the cards
After it was confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be leaving Everton, it became apparent that the signing of a new striker will be the number one priority this summer.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Barry has been heavily linked with a move to David Moyes’ side, with several other clubs across Europe expressing an interest.

Via AS (30 June, pg 24), Villareal have acknowledged the interest from the Toffees, and have also accepted that Baryy’s exit could happen in the coming weeks.
However, as it stands, it is claimed that the La Liga outfit are yet to receive an official offer for the forward, who has a release clause of £34.1million.

Moyes needs to be backed with big striker arrival
A lack of goal threat has been the biggest concern for Everton over the last few seasons, and if they are to progress further under Moyes next time round, that needs to be adressed as a matter of urgency.
The Scotsman will be just as keen to bolster other areas of his squad and will take the opportunity to do so whenever the chance arises, and with teams rapidly trying to beat the PSR deadline, movement could be imminent.
This summer is going to be huge for the Toffees, and they can’t afford any margin for error.
