Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has announced that he will be leaving the club upon the expiry of his contract.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to leave Everton on a free transfer, with his deal officially ending on Tuesday the 1st of July.

That leaves David Moyes short up front, with Armando Broja having already left to rejoin his parent club Chelsea.

Everton are looking at Villarreal’s Thierno Barry after his prolific 19-goal season, but there is some uncertainty about the likelihood of that transfer.

Everton should seriously consider signing Newcastle United striker William Osula

Newcastle United’s William Osula is close friends with Ndiaye as the pair played together during their stints at Sheffield United.

Osula was only just emerging on the scene when he was at the Blades, but Eddie Howe immediately spotted his potential and signed him in a £15m deal last summer.

The 21-year-old hasn’t been given much of a chance for the Magpies just yet, but on the international stage, he is flourishing and showing his lofty promise.

The 6ft 4 powerhouse fits the exact profile Moyes is after, having eyed Liam Delap, Nick Woltemade, Evan Ferguson and of course Barry, who are all similar sizes.

Osula is certainly a player the Toffees should seriously consider as he could tear it up under Moyes’ stewardship.

Osula sounds open to leaving Newcastle

It sounds as though if Everton were to make an approach for the Newcastle youngster, he would be open to making a switch to Merseyside.

Osula has publicly come out and announced his desire to play.

“I just need playing time to show what I can do,” the 2003-born admitted. “It means something to me. I already know. Only myself and my father know what I can do. When playing time comes, everyone will see what I can do on the pitch.”

There are suggestions that Newcastle will resist any loan offers for the Danish youngster, however, in this PSR climate, a sizable offer would surely be too good to turn down.
