Bruno Fernandes and five other current Manchester United first-team players have sent their support to Alejandro Garnacho after he returned to social media at the weekend.
Last week, Garnacho sparked fury on Instagram as he shared pictures from his holiday in Ibiza. Among the pictures posted on his account was one of himself sporting Marcus Rashford's Aston Villa shirt.
The decision to post the picture was seen by many as a dig at United and Ruben Amorim considering the manner in which Rashford left the Reds in January.
While still contracted to United, Rashford was loaned to Villa after falling out of favour with the United boss and it is expected the England international shall be leaving Old Trafford permanently this summer.
MEN Sport understands that Garnacho was recently informed that he was free to leave United this summer amid tensions between the player and Amorim.
The straw that broke the camel's back is believed to have come following the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur when the Argentine slammed Amorim for only giving him 19 minutes.
Before that match, Garnacho also posted a picture of himself celebrating after scoring in the FA Cup final against Manchester City. This was again seen as a slight at Amorim.
After keeping a low profile since his Rashford post, Garnacho returned to social media on Sunday to share pictures of himself in the Algarve. This time, the Argentine did not share any pictures that could be seen as digs at his current club and simply captioned the post: "Portugal roll."
United captain Fernandes, along with Ayden Heaven, Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt all sent their support for the forward by liking the post. Other than Fernandes and Dorgu, none of those players liked Garnacho's previous post.
While Garnacho continues his summer break, the saga surrounding his future continues to weigh heavy over the club. It is believed the winger is keen to remain in the Premier League with Chelsea among the clubs thought to be looking at him.
