Liverpool, along with Real Madrid, have been among the most active and decisive top European club in the transfer market this summer window.

The Anfield club has done exceptionally well to ensure three priority signings in Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez are all through the door before July.

With pre-season starting on the 8th of July, it means that the new faces can gel with the team well before the 2025/26 campaign starts.

It has been widely reported that the Liverpool transfer chiefs will now focus on moving players on that are not in Arne Slot’s plans or players who want increased gametime elsewhere.

And according to reports in Germany, the club has seen another big step happen in an outgoing transfer.

BILD have reported that “the early bird catches the worm” regarding Jarell Quansah’s move to Bayer Leverkusen.

Indeed, less than 48 hours after winning the U21 European championship, the Liverpool man is currently undergoing his medical at the German side.

BILD captured the moment of the defender’s arrival, and noted how eager Quansah appeared to officially become a Bayer Leverkusen player.

Erik Ten Hag’s side forked over a £35 million package deal for the English defender.

The agreement includes an initial fee of £30 million with an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons.

This represents a club-record defensive signing for Bayer Leverkusen, surpassing their previous highest fee paid for a defender.

The German club sees enormous potential in Quansah, viewing him as the perfect replacement for Jonathan Tah, who recently departed for Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
