Dominic Calvert-Lewin mooted for Celtic transfer but one key concern raised

The England-capped striker is available on a free transfer after leaving Everton while the Hoops are looking to bolster their frontline during the summer window.

But could the 28-year-old be on Brendan Rodgers' radar?

It was a topic that came up on this morning's talkSPORT breakfast show and Ally McCoist reckons Calvert-Lewin would be a great signing for Celtic.

However, he would have concerns about his fitness.

The Rangers legend said: "Fitness. It's fitness, it's only fitness. It's fitness for me.

"You get him on the pitch, he would absolutely do well at Celtic, there's no doubt about it.

Jeff Stelling had his say: "It's an absolute no-brainer. A no-brainer.

"Getting him on a free transfer, we know he can play.

"If they oculd keep him fit, I think it'd be a good move for him.

"He'd score goals there, regain his conference and wouldn't be surprised if in a couple of years time he'd be back in the Premier League."

And McCoist added: "I just want to see him fit, I want to see him play. Not too well if he goes to Celtic, on the other hand!"
