Manchester City are expected to reward Ederson’s loyalty with a “significant” salary increase, according to reports.
It was widely believed that the Brazilian would leave for Saudi Arabia this summer but he has recently stated that he wants to remain at the Etihad.
TBRFootball claim that the Cityzens are now ready to hand Ederson a contract extension that would make him the “highest paid” goalkeeper in English football.

The 31-year-old is currently earning £100,000 a week on a deal that expires next year. His extension would likely mean that he will earn more than £150,000 a week.
Liverpool’s Alisson Becker and Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez are the two highest-earning Premier League keepers at the moment.
What has Ederson said about his future?
Speaking about transfer speculation, the keeper made it crystal clear that he wasn’t leaving City:
“My future is here. Some friends send me a lot of news but 99% is fake news. I understand you guys (media), you need the news to put a like on social media or rant for the news.”
“I understand, but there’s a lot of fake news around my name. My head is here, it stays with City. It gives me everything to go back to the Premier League again and try to win the Champions League as well. My mind is staying in the club.”
It means Man City are unlikely to sign another goalkeeper
Pep Guardiola’s side have been linked with several new numbers one in recent weeks. The likes of Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, Porto’s Diogo Costa and Lille’s Lucas Chevalier have been mentioned as options, with rivals Manchester United also said to be interested in the trio.
However, it appears Ederson’s comments may have followed on from progress in contract negotiations. After seemingly looking destined to leave, his stay in Manchester could now be extended.
