Aston Villa will shortly be set to see youngster Kaine Kesler-Hayden depart the club after rising through their academy - with Coventry City having agreed a fee to take their homegrown star across the Midlands to the Championship.
The Birmingham-born starlet joined Villa's academy as a youngster, embarking on his first loan spell away from the club in 2021 as he joined Swindon - and after temporary spells at MK Dons, Huddersfield Town and Plymouth Argyle, it was last season's excellent campaign at Preston North End - where he won the club's Player of the Year award - that has massively interested other teams, who are vying for his signature with some energetic displays down the right-hand flank.
And with that in mind, the report by The Telegraph reporter John Percy on X (formerly Twitter) states that Kesler-Hayden is set to make the switch across the Midlands to join Coventry after impressing on loan in the Championship last season.
A reported £3.5million deal has been agreed between the two clubs, and a medical being set to take place later on Monday as the Birmingham native prepares to wave goodbye to Villa after making five appearances for the club in all competitions - following his debut in the Premier League in March 2024.
