Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United – who are hoping to enjoy a fruitful summer – reportedly run the risk of paying players millions of pounds to leave Old Trafford this summer as would-be buyers are hopeful of exploiting the Red Devils’ need to offload players.
Matheus Cunha has already been announced as Amorim’s first summer addition while Bryan Mbeumo has green-lit a move to Manchester United – but plenty of sales will be needed before the Portuguese tactician and Co get their hands on others.
The likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho all faced uncertain futures at the club – and the club could be forced to fork out millions in order to shift their deadwood this summer, it has been reported by The Telegraph.

Man Utd Could Fork Out Millions to Sell Players
Potential buyers hold the cards in transfer dealings
Three of the four aforementioned players – Rashford, Antony and Sancho – were loaned out by their employers last term and, upon returning to Old Trafford, it seems as if their days are numbered after falling down the pecking order under Amorim.
Madrid-born Garnacho, weeks after Amorim told him to find a new club in front of his teammates, has angered club chiefs by posting a picture of him wearing an Aston Villa shirt – with ‘Rashford 9’ on the back – while enjoying his off-season holiday.
Despite being a boyhood Red, Rashford – one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League – looks to be ending his Old Trafford career this summer after a 426-game spell. From January onwards, Aston Villa paid 75 percent of his take-home.
The fact, however, that it’s evident that Manchester United are trying to sell big-name players certainly plays into the hands of potential suitors, who – according to The Telegraph, are ready to exploit the Premier League heavyweight's tricky transfer window situation.
Manchester United, per the report, will look to negotiate “salary recovery” from loan deals for their players; though, it is believed that their bargaining power – or lack thereof – could be used against them this summer as they aim to move on those players who are deemed surplus to requirements.
Garnacho, alongside Rashford and Antony, currently hold contracts until 2028 and, in the event they leave in the summer months, the Old Trafford outfit – who finished 15th in the table last season – would be expected to subsidise their wages.

London-born Sancho, too, is expected to be moving on this summer after two consecutive seasons out on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea, respectively. After years of chasing the winger, it’s never really worked out – and it’s coming to an end.
Antony – who, alongside three others, is set to be banished from Amorim's pre-season squad – found form last season on loan at Real Betis, who reached the Europa Conference League but were beaten by Enzo Maresca's Chelsea. The Spanish side paid 84 percent of his salary.
