Future of Man Utd’s £300k/week player could be defined ‘in 10 days’, he is ‘putting a lot of pressure’

The transfer window was always expected to pick up the pace in July when the financial accounts reset, and for Man Utd, the biggest boost could arrive.

After splurging close to £120 million on Matheus Cunha and potentially Bryan Mbeumo, it is worth noting that Man Utd need to sell to buy.

United’s financial situation isn’t hidden from anybody, but their troubles are exacerbated because their players on the transfer list are finding it difficult to get a buyer.

Therefore, the latest developments surrounding the future of their £300k/week problem player will come as music to the ears of everyone at Old Trafford.

Man Utd could see Jadon Sancho’s future resolved soon

Since Chelsea paid £5m not to sign Jadon Sancho, the transfer updates on his future have all become muddled and indecisive.

It seems like every club and no club is in for him at the same time, with talks over multiple moves mooted but none reaching a conclusion.

Juventus have emerged as favourites amid fleeting interest from Fenerbahce, while links to Napoli have also popped up on occasion.

Now, it seems like Sancho has received the offer he wanted from the side he wanted, as Italian transfer insider Gianni Balzarini reports on his YouTube channel that his future will be resolved ‘in 10 days’ as Juventus lead the race.

He said (Translated from Italian to English via Tutto Juve): “I also believe that within ten days the situation of Sancho will be defined, who I am told is very keen to go to Juventus.

“Even if he is a very virtuous player, very strong technically, let’s say even a little to be recorded at the mental level for certain behaviors a little exuberant [doubts over his professionalism], let’s say so, however the player is eager, very eager, they tell me that he is putting a lot of pressure to go and play in Turin to wear the Juventus shirt and this is certainly very important.”

Man Utd’s transfer window will move with Jadon Sancho

United’s unwanted four, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho, have effectively halted this window for the club.

However, even among those, nobody is quite as responsible for that as Sancho, who had a move lined up but refused to drop his wage demands.

Even leaving aside that £25 million transfer fee, freeing up his wages in the region of £300k/week alone would have allowed United to make a third signing before needing to execute sales.

If there has been a breakthrough with Juventus over his move, United should be all over it, even if it means taking a slight loss on him.

Sancho is a case of addition by subtraction at this point, and if he’s finally willing to move, then United can soften their stance because his contract expires next summer anyway.

It will be the true start of a new era by offloading one of the worst contracts of the Glazer era.
