Former Bristol Rovers loanees Elliot Anderson and Jarell Quansah were on hand to help England Under-21s to European glory over the weekend as the Young Lions beat Germany 3-2 in extra-time to claim the Under-21s European Championship.
Anderson controlled the midfield for over 90 minutes before being withdrawn in the first half of extra-time while Quansah played the entire 120 minutes.
Early goals from Liverpool's Harvey Elliott and Ipswich Town's Omari Hutchinson had England in control of the final within the first quarter of the match before Germany went on to cancel out their advantage with goals from Nelson Weiper and Paul Nebel.

Within moments of coming on, former Norwich City and current Marseille forward Jonathan Rowe scored early in extra-time to restore England's lead as Lee Carsley's men managed to hold on to seal victory.
The title is a second consecutive European trophy for Carsley's side after winning the tournament back in 2023.
Since their loan spells at Rovers in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons respectively, Anderson and Quansah have gone on to become established Premier League players.

Quansah also spent half a season at the Mem but the centre-back's spell was less memorable as he made 16 appearances for the Gas.
However, the defender has gone on to make an impressive 58 senior appearances for Liverpool in the two years since his loan spell and now, according to reports, seems on the verge of making a transfer to German side Bayer Leverkusen, who won the Bundesliga in 2024.
Meanwhile, since leaving boyhood club Newcastle United for Nottingham Forest last summer, Anderson has been one of the brightest prospects in the Premier League, playing in 37 of Forest's 38 league games last term.
The 22-year-old is yet to be capped by the senior England side but is firmly in the conversation of eventually becoming part of Thomas Tuchel's squad.
