Leeds United have gone about their business smartly this summer. So far two players have been signed in key areas of the squad.
Lukas Nmecha joined on a free transfer, and the former Wolfsburg man will bolster the attack. He will provide competition for Joel Piroe and give another option for Daniel Farke up top. Leeds also signed Jaka Bijol from Udinese to bolster an already solid defensive core.

Fans are pleased with the deals, but still want new faces in before pre season begins. So far, Leeds have spent just around £15million to make key additions in attack and defence.
Some have argued that the Whites’ window has been far from good. Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness has called Leeds United’s summer transfers ”underwhelming”:
“Leeds have brought in another centre half as well, Bijol, who’s potentially a good player.” he told Football Insider.
“They’ve also signed Nmecha for free. But are these the players that really are going to mold together a squad that’s going to be scrapping every week to keep you in that Premier League?
“I’m slightly underwhelmed by the start Leeds have made, but a long way to go yet.
“It’s not what I was hoping for from Leeds in terms of moving forward.”
Bijol and Nmecha are solid additions
Wyness may disagree on Leeds’ business so far, but Bijol and Nmecha are solid additions. Both have the size and physicality to survive the Premier League; the Slovenian defender is 6ft4 while the German forward stands at 6ft1. The two players also have vast experience playing in top leagues in Europe.
They both fit the profiles for England, and will boost the quality in the time. The rest of Leeds’ business this summer will be very telling.
