Liverpool supporters can’t be blamed if they are struggling to keep pace with the relentless flurry of transfer activity at Anfield this summer.
The club has already made three signings in Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez that have already sent fans into a frenzy, while we exclusively revealed that Marc Guehi could soon join the ranks of Arne Slot’s men.
However, the Liverpool FC Women’s side is also dealing with some widescale changes.
The club has officially announced that LFC Women’s defender Taylor Hinds has left the club upon the expiration of her contract this summer.
The 26-year-old defender leaves the Reds as the third-highest appearance maker in the Women’s Super League era, behind only Gemma Bonner and Ashley Hodson.
After joining the club in 2020 from Merseyside rivals Everton, Hinds went on to win the FA Women’s Championship title in the 2021-22 season.
During that title-winning season, Taylor Hinds made 29 appearances across all competitions, contributing four goals.
For Liverpool Women, it marked their return to the topflight after two seasons away.
In 2023, she was appointed vice-captain of the side and proved herself a pillar of the team.
Hinds finishes her Melwood chapter with 131 appearances in all competitions and eight goals over five seasons.
It is believed that her next destination may well be Arsenal.
The 26-year-old penned an open letter to fans, writing:
“Dear Reds,”
“I’m sorry I haven’t had the chance to say a proper goodbye. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me feel so welcome when I joined back in 2020.”
“We’ve shared some incredible highs that I’ll never forget—being promoted back into the WSL, and then having the chance of taking part in the 2022 parade, which was one of the best days of my life.
“I’ll always be grateful for the love and support I received from all of you; I could always hear you.”
“To the managers and staff I worked with—thank you for constantly pushing me to be my best and helping me grow both on and off the pitch. Being given the opportunity to lead the team out on several occasions was an absolute honour and a moment of real pride.”
“To my teammates over the years—some of you have become my friends for life. I truly wish each of you the very best in your futures. We have made some special memories on and off the pitch that will always stay with me.”
“I wish nothing but continued success for this team and this club. I’m incredibly proud to have been part of this club and to have worn the shirt—it’s truly been a privilege.”
“Thank you for everything.”
