Player’s Burnley move ‘can be made official tomorrow’ – Deal to have sell-on clause

Burnley’s move for Lazio’s Loum Tchaouna hasn’t been a long lived drama but has certainly been up and down. The move was initially called off by sections of the Italian media, before them reporting it was back on again, and the Clarets have now got their man.

Corriere dello Sport report Frenchman’s move to Burnley ‘can be made official tomorrow’.

The Lancashire club will pay up to €15m and the newspaper believe that this includes several bonuses, with the details of those yet to be made clear. It’s likely remaining in the Premier League will be key.

Corriere dello Sport explain the transfer will help Lazio because from tomorrow, the club’s new financial year will start and Tchaouna’s exit will be registered in those accounts. The Rome club will need more sales to make signings though, with their transfer window currently blocked.

Gianluca di Marzio reports further that Tchaouna’s Burnley contract will have a sell-on clause of 10% for Lazio, likely related to any profit made.

The move to Turf Moor is a great opportunity for the winger, who struggled to make a mark in his first season at Lazio.
