Iron Maiden bassist and sole constant member Steve Harris has recorded a thank you message to fans following the band’s historic concert at London Stadium, home of his beloved West Ham United.
As part of their 50th anniversary Run For Your Lives World Tour, Iron Maiden triumphed on Saturday night (28th June) in front of an adoring 75,000-strong crowd.

Hours after the show, Iron Maiden posted a video to YouTube under the title ‘Thank you London’.
It features Steve Harris standing in front of the showers in West Ham United’s echoey changing room, and he tells the camera: "So here we are West Ham's football ground, the London Stadium. But this is fantastic, obviously – for me especially – to be here, absolutely amazing."
The one-minute video then features clips of the stadium and The Cart & Horses Pub – aka the birthplace of Iron Maiden – and a packed Eddie’s Dive Bar in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Soundtracked by Iron Maiden’s ‘Run to the Hills’, the thank you video then features various clips from the mind-blowing concert, before Steve says at the end: "I've enjoyed it here, it's a special occasion. Come on you Irons!"
The Run For Your Lives World Tour is Iron Maiden’s first trek since 1982 without drummer Nicko McBrain, who retired from touring in December 2024. British Lion’s Simon Dawson is the band’s touring drummer.
The setlist draws from studio material exclusively dating from 1980 debut ‘Iron Maiden’ through to 1992’s ‘Fear of the Dark’.
