Everton could be looking to do business before the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) deadline on 1 July.
It’s not clear whether the Merseyside club are in need to sell before midnight’s deadline, although there have been suggestions they could fall foul of PSR again.
Everton have been deducted points on two separate occasions for breaching these rules, and the Friedkin Group will be in no mood to risk it happening again.
With that in mind, Goodison News rounds up the business that could be done today.

Everton may sell women’s team for pure PSR profit
The Friedkin Group are reportedly considering selling Everton’s women team to a new company that they also control.

This is a bizarre but completely legal loophole that could help Everton balance the books.
Chelsea have already completed a similar transaction with their women’s team, while the same has been said about Aston Villa.
Everton could secure pure PSR profit of up to £65million if they do the same, according to football finance experts.
Since TFG are essentially doing business with themselves, there may be little stopping the deal from being completed today.

All eyes on Branthwaite as PSR deadline nears
Everton fans have been unable to escape rumours of their star defender Jarrad Branthwaite being sold.
Earlier in the season, it appeared as if Everton would have to sell someone to avoid breaching PSR, and Branthwaite was the player being tipped to leave.

The young defender has been valued at £70m+, which would be difficult for any Premier League to turn down, particularly one that is struggling to balance the books.
However, the latest signs are that the 23-year-old will remain at Everton, and he is thought to be in negotiations over a new contract. There have no bids from other clubs for him this summer.
It’s possible that Everton could sell another first-team player if a suitable bid came in, although there’s no sign of that happening right now with hours to go until the deadline.
Indeed, the club have been focusing on tying up deals for first-team players whose contracts expire on 30 June. Idrissa Gueye is one player who could leave on a free transfer unless he agrees to a new deal.
Selling academy graduates for pure profit would be a massive boost if TFG do indeed need to raise funds, but there are no obvious candidates to sell.
