Leeds will be trying to fend off plenty of Premier League interest for their targets this window.
This has already appeared as a problem on the 49ers’ radar after Sunderland secured a £30m move for Habib Diarra.
Diarra was expected to be the third signing after early business, but that is now looking likely to be Sebastiaan Bornauw after a £5m deal has been agreed.
It seems defensive priorities will be sorted out before any major attacking signings come in, and that appears to be the case with another saga developing at Leeds.
This time, it’s Marco Silva’s Fulham who are challenging, but Daniel Farke might have the upper hand this time around.

Leeds United jump to front of queue for Anthony Caci
Anthony Caci is potentially someone as a right-back option for Farke this summer.
Although Jayden Bogle seems irreplaceable at the moment, the German will need competition in his Leeds squad.
Caci is someone Leeds like, as the Mainz full-back has shown his attacking ability from defence, which is what Farke prides his system on.

It’s said that the Frenchman is valued at £8.5m and the Print Edition of BILD (30/06/25) has reported that the Whites have an advantage over Silva’s Cottagers.
The outlet states that Leeds are ready to “dig at” Caci and with the Whites’ ability to offer first-team guarantees, the 49ers could emerge as favourites over Fulham in the ‘coming days’.

Caci has every right to challenge Bogle at Leeds
What Farke will need most in the top flight is competition, and by signing Caci, it provides a similar sort of ability to Bogle.
Of course, it’s hard to replace the right-back who contributed to 10 goals from defence, but the Frenchman has replicated this at Mainz during the last campaign of the Bundesliga.

Whether Leeds will stick with this attacking approach in the Premier League is another question, but if they do, Farke can have two reliable options from right-back.
Bogle might be slightly worried as not only is Caci providing a threat, but Vladimir Coufal is someone who could trump Bogle in that position as well.
With this saga looking likely to develop, Farke could have a difficult choice on his hands, but it’s a choice that’s needed for Leeds’ status.
