**Everton have signed Netherlands Under-23 midfielder Rosa van Gool following the expiry of her contract with Dutch giants Ajax.**
21-year-old midfielder Rosa van Gool signs for Everton and will wear the number 8 shirt for the Toffees.
Van Gool played for Ajax since 2023, arriving at the club from ADO Den Haag. Her performances in the middle of the park for the Amsterdam club helped them reach the quarter finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in the 23/24 season.
Van Gool compares her own game to that of Jackie Groenen: a typical box-to-box midfielder. She brings a calmness to the pitch and takes up a coaching role.
“I am a midfielder who wants to be an important piece between the defenders and the attackers. I really like to build from the back and turn away from my opponent”, van Gool told Everton.
“I hope to score goals, to give assists and key passes. I hope to be important for this team and to win as much as possible.”
