Barcelona target Nico Williams sees car vandalised amid transfer backlash

Athletic Club star and leading Barcelona transfer target Nico Williams was over the weekend the subject of a needless gesture in Bilbao.

This comes amid confirmation that the 22-year-old’s car windows were smashed, presumably by a group of fans.

The ongoing backlash against wide-man Nico has of course taken its place centre stage in the Spanish media headlines over the last week.

This comes as those of an Athletic Club persuasion make clear their dismay with their side’s star attacker, owing to his active push to join Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.

A mural of Nico in the Basque Country has now been vandalised on a trio of occasions, the latest of which saw the Spanish international urged to ‘leave’ as soon as possible:

And as alluded to above, on Sunday, Nico was targeted once more…

As revealed by journalist Gerard Romero of Jijantes, speaking during a stream on his official Twitch channel, the talented attacker saw the windows of his car smashed over the weekend.
