As Daboll mentioned, Carter's speed getting off the line of scrimmage certainly stood out. On numerous occasions during team drills, the ball would be snapped and within the blink of an eye, Carter would be in the quarterback's face. His quickness and ability to bend the edge is something special, but don't take it from me. Here's what the guys playing with him -- and against him -- have said about the rookie edge rusher.
"I think he's going to be a really good player," offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor said at minicamp. "It's been fun playing against him. He's an explosive kid and I think that it's really good to have him on this team."
"Man, he's a beast," fellow outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux added. "He's been doing his thing. He's fast, explosive, smart, excited."
Of all the players I am most excited to see once the pads come on next month, Carter sits atop the list.
