The former Preston North End manager recently had a stint with AFC Fylde
Former Preston North End manager Frankie McAvoy is set to join Carlisle United’s coaching staff, according to reports.
The Scot spent the final two months of last season with AFC Fylde. Now, McAvoy is said to be on his way to Brunton Park to become Mark Hughes’ assistant. The report comes from the Greenock Telegraph, who state that the Scottish Championship side held talks with McAvoy last week.
