Wolves are doing their homework on an array of transfer targets, one of whom is familiar to the English game.
Vitor Pereira is in the market to bolster the majority of positions within his squad, a project that the Old Gold got underway by signing Fer Lopez.
Lopez arrived from Celta Vigo to strengthen Wolves’ options going forward, arriving as part of the puzzle to replace Matheus Cunha.
Cunha’s ability to act as Wolves’ goalscoring maverick in central areas will be missed, which explains why players accustomed to central-midfield roles are being linked.

Yunus Musah was blown away by Arsenal’s academy methods
One player that has caught the attention of those at Molineux is AC Milan’s Yunus Musah.
Nottingham Forest and Wolves want Musah, who is set to be available for a summer transfer for a fee in the region of £20m to £25m.
The versatile midfielder, who can offer his services both in the final third and defensively, is a player who has already been acclimatised to the English game.
At the age of nine, Musah joined Arsenal’s renowned Hale End academy, where he stayed for seven years before venturing to Spain to join Valencia, where he crossed paths with Goncalo Guedes.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Speaking in September 2024 to Rising Ballers, Musah acknowledged how much he’d learned from Arsenal’s academy, insisting that those in North London were ‘ahead of time’.
“Arsenal really taught me a lot, they were ahead of time I think,” the Wolves target said.
Musah went into detail about what was happening at Hale End to prepare him for the challenges to come in his senior career.
“We did a lot of individual sessions, not just team sessions, one-to-ones, a lot of days practising by myself as well.
“We were allowed to just train and work hard when we wanted, there was a lot of video analysis, looking at details of your game. Just some really top coaches that helped me improve over all those years.”
Musah was a part of Arsenal’s academy when Bukayo Saka was, and once the 23-year-old had graduated to the Gunners’ first team, the United States international opted to leave in search of greater opportunities abroad.
What Musah learned in the North Londoners’ academy evidently shaped him for the good, as the midfielder went on to quickly become a regular at both Valencia and AC Milan.
What Musah could offer to Wolves
Having learned all he needed to know from Arsenal, there’s a good chance that Musah could hit the ground running at Wolves on his return to England.
What’s particularly interesting about the American is that he has experience playing in Wolves’ favoured 3-4-2-1 formation.

At Milan, the 22-year-old has been utilised both in midfield and on the right side of defence, operating in a wing-back role.
It’s encouraging to know that not only could Musah arrive with knowledge of what’s needed in the English game, but also how to play in a formation as dynamic as Wolves’.
With Nuno Espirito Santo also pushing to sign the former Arsenal academy jewel, the Old Gold will be wary of building competition to land the target’s signature this summer.
