Eddie Howe is set to see Newcastle United transfer target Joao Pedro join another club instead.
Indeed, despite Newcastle United making an offer to Brighton for the Brazilian, Pedro is now set to join Chelsea.
Pedro will follow Liam Delap to Stamford Bridge, with the striker being another player thought to have snubbed a move to St James’ Park.
Earlier this summer, Newcastle’s move for Bryan Mbeumo collapsed after they deemed the deal too expensive. The Brentford star now looks set to join Matheus Cunha at Manchester United, with the former Wolves star having previously been linked with Newcastle too.
It’s certainly been a frustrating start to the window for Newcastle fans. Now, an update on Howe’s feelings has emerged.
