Manchester United are still looking for a striker to join the club this summer as a replacement for Rasmus Hojlund.
The Denmark international has had a truly disappointing season for The Red Devils, racking up some unwanted stats.
Firstly the striker went 20 consecutive games without any goal contributions before he finally grabbed an assist in the 21st match of his goal drought, finally scoring again after three months.
As a result of this, Hojlund also ranked as the worst Premier League striker for both goals and assists per 90 minutes played and for expected goals and assists per 90 minutes played.
Now, Ruben Amorim has lost confidence in the 22-year-old, looking to offload him to bring in a reliable goalscorer to head his attacking trio.
Already United have been linked with Victor Osimhen, Hugo Ekitikie and Viktor Gyokeres, however another option has emerged much closer to home.

The Athletic has revealed that United are looking to Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as a way of reinforcing their strike force.
It’s understood that United have been in contact with Villa about a potential move, exploring a potential deal, however the initial query is the extent of the contact so far.
That said, Watkins is now the second Villa player United have been in contact over, also seeing one star return from Villa Park to Old Trafford.
Earlier today it was officially confirmed that Villa would not be retaining Marcus Rashford despite their option to buy for £40 million, which came as no real surprise.
It was highly anticipated that without Champions League football, a permanent move for Rashford would be unviable for The Villains.
The second potential deal is for Emiliano Martinez to move to Old Trafford as the club’s first-choice to replace Andre Onana between the sticks.
Already Martinez has green lit the move, just awaiting United and Villa to strike up a deal for the move to happen.
However, we may now see Martinez joined by Ollie Watkins in a move to Old Trafford.
