Hugo Ekitike is once again becoming a serious option for Arsenal, with the pursuits of Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko failing to yield results so far.

German outlet Bild reported on Sunday that the possibility of signing Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt is once again becoming a serious option for Arsenal, as the Gunners are struggling to negotiate down the price for Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP or Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig.
Bild write that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta doesn’t want to pay a mega transfer fee in the region of €100m for a striker, but if the Gunners are forced to invest heavily, they’d consider Ekitike alongside Gyokeres and Sesko.

The same outlet adds that Liverpool have already held talks with Ekitike’s camp, though not with Frankfurt at this stage.
If and when one of Liverpool’s forwards leave (with Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, and Darwin Nunez) all linked with moves away), the Merseyside club will make a serious move of their own. But Bild claim Arsenal will also be watching closely.
Anil Kandola of talkSPORT confirms that Arsenal’s interest in Ekitike is one to watch, with his dynamism reportedly something Mikel Arteta admires.

23-year-old Ekitike is highly rated in Germany, having scored 22 goals and assisted a further 12 in his 2024/25 campaign with Frankfurt.
Arsenal haven’t seemed particularly strong contenders for his signature so far, but perhaps that’s about to change.
