If there has been one major issue surrounding the New York Giants over the last decade, it's been their inability to field a competent offensive line.
Since their victory in Super Bowl XLVI, New York has tried many ways to fix the trenches. Free agents have been signed, top draft picks have been wasted, and the problem remains.
Could those struggles change in 2025? The Giants have a healthy group for the first time in years, leaving some to believe their struggles may end.
But... FOX Sports analyst and former NFL offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz is not one of them.
Schwartz was with the Giants through the 2014 and 2015 seasons. He has a firsthand account of how difficult it has been for New York to overcome the problems that have hampered the organization. It's why he believes the Giants will come up short of their current win total this year, despite all the moves New York made this offseason.
"They have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL, and I'm unsure they'll come out of October with more than a single win," Schwartz said. "They'd be fortunate to be favored in more than one game this season.
"They could find themselves down by double digits late in games. When they start slowly, the coaching staff may quickly turn to Jaxson Dart, who isn't yet ready to be a starter. New York's season is going to spiral out of control quickly. So I'm going with the Giants Under 5.5 wins."
Schwartz isn't the only one hitting the under on the Giants. Despite a strong offseason that saw key additions like cornerback Paulson Adebo and third overall pick Abdul Carter, New York is dealing with an incredibly tough schedule.
That is a brutally ugly number for a team that won just three games last year.
But ... If they cannot figure out their offensive line or quarterback position, it's viable to suggest they will not be able to sniff five wins.
