The Sacramento Kings may be heading towards a busy offseason as they try to turn things around after another disappointing season ended with them missing the playoffs once again.
Sacramento kicked off their summer by selecting Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud in the 2025 NBA Draft and their attention now shifts to free agency as it begins on Monday.
Of course, the Kings are expected to make some changes to their roster that could see them move on from one of their stars in Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine or DeMar DeRozan.

The Kings have also had Devin Carter and Malik Monk enter trade rumors and Keon Ellis have also emerged as a potential trade piece.
With that in mind, Ball Report recently posted a three-team mock trade on X that would send Ellis to the Warriors while the Utah Jazz would also be involved.
In the trade, the Kings would acquire Jaden Springer from the Jazz while also acquiring a 2026 first-round and 2031 second-round pick from the Warriors.
For Golden State, they would land Ellis and K.J. Martin and send Moses Moody to Utah.
This would be an interesting trade for the Kings to make and one that does not make too much sense as Ellis has shown flashes over the last few seasons of being a key piece of their roster moving forward, especially if they start a rebuild.
Despite this, moving him for two draft picks from the Warriors along with solid young guard in Springer could end up working out in their favor, especially if they make more moves to upgrade their roster and compete for a playoff spot next season.

While that may be the case, the Kings have shown no signs of looking to move on from Ellis this summer and after he put together the best season of his young career last year, it is unlikely that Sacramento moves on from the 25-year-old guard this offseason.
