LeBron James Wants Fans to Pay Attention to Big Kevin Durant News on Monday

With NBA free agency hours away from beginning, the biggest storyline around the league is still somehow Los Angeles Lakers forward, LeBron James.

The four-time NBA MVP exercised his option with the Lakers on Sunday, officially signaling that he will be back for an NBA record 23rd season.

While he opted into the $52.6 million option, it is currently unclear if season No. 23 will be with the Lakers, as ESPN's Shams Charania reported that James is "closely monitoring" the moves the franchise he led to a title in 2020 makes.

A sentiment that has led to trade rumors running rampant about the four-time champ. In addition to James' future with the Lakers making headlines, he also shared a significant announcement about his podcast "Mind the Game."

As shared on social media on Monday, the podcast hosted by James and former Phoenix Suns star Steve Nash will be welcoming two-time NBA Champion Kevin Durant as a guest in their newest episode.

They did so in a somewhat surprising fashion, with the video beginning with James on camera by himself, asking someone off-screen what they wanted to talk about.

"While I'm opening this wine," James said. "I think the best way to start is like you guys want to talk about maybe?"

The camera then pans to Durant, who chuckles and replies, "This is the place to do that."

Naturally, James found himself hilarious, as he reposted the video to his Instagram Story with a series of emojis.

Although they didn't reveal topics they'd be discussing, the announcement that Durant is joining the show sparked plenty of excitement online.

Unlike James, whose future remains uncertain, Durant knows precisely what his future entails. The Phoenix Suns traded him to the Houston Rockets on June 22 in a package that saw them receive Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick, which was used on Duke's Khaman Maluach and five second-round picks.

Being that James and Durant have crossed paths multiple times in the NBA Finals, NBA All-Star games and Olympics, there will certainly be plenty to discuss on the pod.
