It’s never too early for draft talk — especially if you’re a Giants fan.
ESPN’s Matt Miller agrees. So much so that he’s already released his way-too-early 2026 NFL mock draft.
Miller has the Giants (unsurprisingly) finishing with the second worst record in the league and taking Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa with the No. 2 pick. Here’s his rationale:
“Mauigoa enters his third college season as a player on the rise,”Miller wrote via ESPN. “After allowing five sacks during his true freshman season in 2023, the 6-foot-6, 315-pound right tackle didn’t allow a sack last season and drew only three penalties. Mauigoa is best as a run blocker in a zone scheme, with quick feet and the agility to get to the second level. He’d serve as a replacement for disappointing 2022 first-rounderEvan Neal and join a youthful offense which also features 2025 first-round quarterbackJaxson Dart, star second-year receiverMalik Nabers and emerging running backTyrone Tracy Jr.”
Miller has the Browns finishing with a worse record than Big Blue and selecting Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik with the first overall pick.
Let’s see if his predictions hold true. If they do, the Giants would surely move on from general manager Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll, who have finished with worse records in each of their first three seasons running the team.
