Man United midfielder Casemiro looks set to leave the club this summer with just one year left on his contract.
Ruben Amorim is hoping to continue his Manchester United squad rebuild at Old Trafford by ensuring that he replaces every player that leaves the club. One name who could be sold is Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.
The 33-year-old has just one year left on his contract at Man United, and it has been suggested that he could leave the club and join the Saudi Pro League before his contract at Man United expires next summer.
If the Red Devils do decide to sell the midfielder, they will need to find a worthy replacement for him. However, as they also want to sign a striker and a winger at least, they may have to be savvy to get their replacement for him.
Man United ‘willing’ to pay Ndidi’s release clause
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, United are willing to pay the £8m release clause that has been activated following Leicester’s relegation to the Championship. There has also been reported interest from Everton, who are looking to replace the departing Abdoulaye Doucoure.
The report says that there has been no formal offer from Man United, but just that they are prepared to fork out the £8m to sign Ndidi. It is not understood how much they could sell Casemiro for, but either way, the £8m for Ndidi is very much affordable.
Last season, Ndidi made 30 appearances for the Foxes, scoring one goal and providing five assists. The five assists is fairly impressive considering that he plays a defensive role, and he was also in the second-lowest-scoring team in the Premier League last year.
Man United also linked with 22-year-old midfielder
The 22-year-old is said to have an asking price of around £30m at the Belgian club, but United reportedly are willing to only pay £21.3m at this stage. He plays as more of a creative midfielder, and so would help to replace Christian Eriksen, who’s leaving as a free agent this summer.
Jashari made 52 appearances for Brugge last season, scoring four goals and providing six assists. It was just his first season at the club after joining from Swiss side FC Luzern in the summer of 2024 for a fee of £5m. He has also made four appearances for the Switzerland national team.
