The NFL world has experienced a major shakeup in the AFC as the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers engaged in two blockbuster trades.
The Dolphins acquired All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth-round pick for All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Pro Bowl tight end Jonnu Smith and a 2027 seventh-round pick.
Considering how big these trades are, teams have taken notice and are attempting to see if the Steelers are open for business. According to reports, teams have now zeroed in on superstar T.J. Watt.
According to Adam Schefter, "Sources: In recent weeks, multiple teams have been discussing whether they can trade for Steelers' standout T.J. Watt, who skipped the team's most recent minicamp. Pittsburgh hasn't shown any willingness to deal Watt so far, but he's unhappy with his contractual situation and sources believe outside team interest is likely to increase given today's trade."
It is no secret that Watt is upset with the Steelers over his contract and has skipped minicamp in favor of a new deal. Reports have also indicated that Watt is upset with the organization over a lack of a deal, which could lead to a split.
Watt is arguably as good or better than Myles Garrett, who just received a massive market-resetting annual average of $40 million per season.
