Leeds United are edging closer to the end of the financial year as the deadline to submit their financial accounts for the year.
Daniel Farke’s side earned promotion from the Championship, and are set to receive a windfall as a result of their participation in the top flight.
The Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR) have seen several clubs punished with points deductions and fines in recent years, and Leeds must not fall foul with regard to over-spending.
A few deals could be concluded before the new financial year begins, and MOT Leeds News has now rounded up the latest developments ahead of the midnight deadline.

Sebastiaan Bornauw medical booked
Leeds have agreed a deal to sign Sebastiaan Bornauw from Wolfsburg, and a medical has been booked for the defender.

The centre-back, who could become Leeds’ Harry Maguire, could complete his move before the PSR deadline, meaning it is registered before the new financial year.
This would require the deal and medical to move quickly, but there could be some benefit for Leeds if they have wiggle room to include the purchase on their accounts for last season.
Lukas Nmecha confirmation to come after deadline
Leeds have agreed a deal to sign Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer, and he will officially confirm his move from Wolfsburg in the next two days.
Nmecha’s move could be confirmed before the midnight deadline, with his contract also running out at midnight, but an announcement may end up happening on July 1.
Player Top-flight appearances Fee
Bijol 90 (Serie A) £15m
Bornauw 140 (Bundesliga) £5.1m
Nmecha 69 (Bundesliga) Free
Leeds could confirm three signings in the next day
The 26-year-old will return to the Premier League, four years after leaving Manchester City after graduating through their academy, and could be a fine addition to the midfield.
Junior Firpo set to exit
Junior Firpo’s contract is coming to an end at midnight, and with it, his time at Elland Road will also be over.
Firpo is closing in on a move to Real Betis, and this could be officially announced by July 1, if not before midnight today.
Losing Firpo will be a huge blow, particularly without earning a transfer fee, but Leeds will hope to sign a top-quality replacement in the coming months.
Leeds could move for Anthony Caci
Leeds have been linked with Mainz defender Anthony Caci, as a replacement for Firpo, and could even push for a quick transfer.
Mainz do want to keep the defender, meaning that a deal before the PSR deadline seems unlikely, but with it clear that at least one left-back will be needed this summer, Caci will remain a key target.
Farke will certainly want to see movement in the market soon, as whoever replaces Firpo will need time to settle in the Premier League.
