Martin Zubimendi is reportedly expected to be confirmed as a new Arsenal player in early July, after arriving in London to finalise his move.
Spanish newspaper Noticias de Gipuzkoa reports that Zubimendi travelled to the UK on the weekend as he edges closer to joining the Gunners. An agreement has long been in place for the 26-year-old and they are set to complete his capture despite late interest from Real Madrid.
The report suggests that Sociedad are prepared to sell for around €66m (£56.5m), a fee that is slightly above his release clause. But the North Londoners are agreeing to pay said figure in several instalments.

Zubimendi has been expected to join Arsenal since January, when news of the Gunners' interest in the Spain international first broke. Sociedad's director of football, Erik Bretos, has also been in the English capital recently to finalise a deal.
The defensive midfielder, hailed as "world-class", will undoubtedly be expecting a starting role in Arteta's starting lineup and could partner Declan Rice in a midfield three. His stock has grown in Spain and he could be one of several new midfielders to arrive at the Emirates this summer.

Christian Norgaard is also on the brink of completing a £9.4m move from Brentford, and he's set to become Thomas Partey's replacement. The Ghanaian is leaving today (June 30), and his departure follows Jorginho's, who left for Flamengo earlier this summer.
The Gunners' business isn't done there, though, as they look to bring a long-awaited new number nine to North London. RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres are being pursued, with one of the prolific forwards expected to be signed.
