On the final day of the month of June, the Sooners Illustrated Podcast is back with a brand new episode.
Sooners Illustrated's Josh Callaway, James D. Jackson and Tom Green open things up by looking ahead to the 2025 season with a breakdown of Oklahoma's fall slate with exactly two months remaining until the opener as they analyze what games they believe will be the toughest and which ones are the most important for the Sooners to find a way to win.
"To me, (the toughest game) is pretty easy, it's Alabama on that second weekend in November," Green said. "Alabama is 65-3 at home over the last decade."
"(Michigan) is a game, you've got to win that one," Jackson said. "You've got to get off a good start given this schedule. You've got to build the momentum."
"It's a tough slate, obviously," Callaway said. "The first six games lines up about as good as you could hope, generally speaking…But the second half of the year, the back six, are just brutal."
The staff then recap the latest movement on the recruiting trail with the commitment of 2026 offensive lineman Deacon Schmitt over the weekend and break down Jeremiah Fears' landing spot in the NBA Draft after he went No. 7 overall to the New Orleans Pelicans.
