Man Utd target bold transfer raid for £45m ex-Everton star as Arsenal 'back in talks' to land…

The latest Premier League transfer rumours, with news from Manchester United, Arsenal, Leeds and more.

Keeping tabs on everything going on in what’s been an especially hectic summer transfer window isn’t easy – so we at 3 Added Minutes are back with our latest round-up of all the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours to help you stay up-to-date. Today, we’re starting up at Old Trafford.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United are “regularly in touch” with Fiorentina as they monitor the situation of former Everton forward Moise Kean, who has finally started to live up to his potential with the Serie A side over the past season.

Kean, who scored 19 goals in 32 league games during the 2024/25 season, has a release clause of €52m (£44.5m) in his contract which could tempt United into making a move – but that clause is only active for two weeks, starting on 15 July. After that, it’s heavily implied that the price tag would rise.

Kean is “one of the favourites” of the Red Devils as they search for a new striker, but other teams are keeping a watching brief, including Arsenal (who are said to be “on the sidelines” as it stands) and AC Milan, who have made a “timid” approach. Kean himself is said to be waiting to see which options present themselves before making a decision on his future.

The 3AM Verdict: We didn’t see the best of Kean the last time he was in the Premier League, but the 25-year-old had his best season yet at Fiorentina and if he keeps that form up going forward, then £44.5m will probably seem like a very fair price indeed. It doesn’t sound as though United have made up their mind about making a bid yet, but given the timeframe we’d expect to get confirmation (or refutation) of this rumour very soon. Arsenal will almost certainly wait on Viktor Gyökeres and let this one pass them by.

Arsenal in for yet another new winger

One deal which Arsenal won’t ignore, however, is the potential signing of another former Everton man – Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman. According to Caught Offside, the Gunners have “set their sights” on the hero of last year’s Europa League final and are “back in talks” over a deal.

Atalanta don’t really want to sell Lookman but with the player making it fairly plain that he’s ready to move on, they will let him leave for “the right price”, which is apparently €45-50m (£38-43m) plus add-ons. Arsenal are said to have been tracking Lookman for a year now and are said to be “well-placed” to strike a deal, although Liverpool are supposedly keeping tabs from a slightly greater distance too.

The 3AM Verdict: Given just how many wingers Arsenalhave been linked with at this stage, we’re not sure quite how high up the shortlist Lookman is – based on recent reporting, we believe that Rodrygo is more of a priority, depending on what kind of deal they can reach with Real Madrid. Lookman, we suspect, is a back-up option at best and it doesn’t seem as though any kind of formal bid has been made as yet.

Leeds United ‘closing in’ on new defensive signing

Finally, over to The Yorkshire Evening Post, who landed a scoop which suggests that Leeds United are “closing in” on the purchase of their second new centre-back of the summer – VfL Wolfsburg’s Sebastiaan Bornauw.

The Belgian international is “finalising a move” already, with a medical set to take place on Monday ahead of a €6m (£5m) deal being struck. Bornauw only has a year left on his contract with Wolfsburg, hence the seemingly knock-down price tag.

With Slovenian defender Jaka Bijol already signed, it’s expect that Leeds will let current centre-back Maximilain Wöber leave in order to create sufficient space in the squad for all the new faces. Swedish left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson is another transfer target as Leeds work to reshape their squad for life in the Premier League.

The 3AM Verdict: This one seems to be very real and pretty much done and dusted. The 26-year-old Bornauw is a potent aerial presence and a solid, relatively old-fashioned defender who isn’t a particularly technical player, but should add a bit of steel to the Leeds back line. If he stays fit, that is – the Belgian had a rough ride with injuries last season and made just 15 league appearances having started the season as a first-team regular.
