West Ham have a tough task this summer as they aim to rebuild their squad on a limited budget, and there have now been more developments.

The Hammers find themselves in a tricky PSR situation after a few years of reckless spending, and big sales are necessary if they are to improve after a disappointing Premier League campaign.

West Ham have already let several ageing players leave, and more could now follow as they aim to raise funds in the transfer market.

West Ham Zone has now rounded up the latest news coming out of the London Stadium, with the transfer window well underway.

West Ham want to sign a new goalkeeper, and Leicester City star Mads Hermansen is now a key target following their relegation from the Premier League.

Hermansen was a top performer despite their struggles, and a move to West Ham has now been mooted by Gianluca Di Marzio.

Graham Potter is reportedly a fan of Hermansen, who will be allowed to leave Leicester this summer, and a deal could be in the works soon.

Tomas Soucek has been linked with an exit this summer despite establishing himself as a popular figure among the fanbase, but nothing can be ruled out.

Soucek has one year remaining on his contract at West Ham, and with other midfielders being targeted, he could fall down the pecking order.

However, Martin Allen has now claimed that Soucek could stay longer if offered a contract with performance-based incentives.

Fans would certainly be happy if Soucek committed his long-term future to the club, but it remains to be seen what his decision will be.

Tottenham are now reportedly interested in Mohammed Kudus, who will be allowed to leave this summer as a sellable asset.

Kudus’ performances dipped last season and West Ham consider him a valuable asset, but they are now willing to accept below his £85 million release clause to ease their financial situation.

It has now been reported that they will accept £60m, even from bitter rivals Tottenham, with the financial boost needed this summer.

Everton have now confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will leave on a free transfer, and he has now been linked with West Ham.

Ian Darke has now told West Ham Zone that a move for the striker could help him get back to his best, but the club will remain wary of his poor injury record.

With Danny Ings and Michail Antonio leaving, Calvert-Lewin could be a good addition on a free transfer, but it remains to be seen whether Potter will gamble on him.
