LA JOLLA, Calif. – Two standouts from the 2024-25 Big West champion UC San Diego men's basketball team will be competing in the pros this summer. 2025 Big West Player of the Year Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones has signed a deal with the Toronto Raptors NBA Summer League team and 2025 Big West Defensive Player of the Year Hayden Gray has agreed to play for the Boston Celtics' Summer League squad.

Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones collected top player accolades in The Big West and was named conference tournament Most Valuable Player after helping lead UC San Diego to an NCAA Tournament berth. His 670 points scored as a senior are the most in the program's Division I era.

In his final year as a Triton, Hayden Gray garnered recognition as The Big West's top defensive player and was a finalist for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year. Gray led the nation in steals in 2024-25 with 110.

The NBA 2K26 Summer League runs from July 10-20 in Las Vegas with both the Raptors and Celtics competing beginning July 11.
