MEMPHIS. (WILX) - Former Michigan State power forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. has reached a new deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Jackson agreed to a five-year, $240 million maximum renegotiation-and-extension with a player option for the 2029-30 season.
The 25-year-old played the 2017-18 season at Michigan State before being drafted 4th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by Memphis. Jackson is an All-Star, a three-time All-Defensive Team member, and the player last season to total up 1,500 points and 100 blocks.
Jackson has now spent the first seven seasons of his NBA career with Memphis and averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 74 games last season.
