ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Nickeil Alexander-Walker has agreed to a four-year, $62 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks, according to ESPN.
Alexander-Walker spent the last two seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The shooting guard averaged 9.4 points per game in 25.3 minutes last season and set career highs in assists and rebounds.
He was a key bench piece for the Timberwolves, playing in all 82 regular season games and starting 10.
The 26-year-old figures to fill the same role in Atlanta, serving as a bench piece behind starting shooting guard Dyson Daniels.
ESPN reports that the contract includes a player option and trade kicker, meaning that if Alexander-Walker is traded, the Hawks will owe him additional money.
