Over 60% Of Fans Claim Chelsea Should‘Try To Sign’£70M Rated Winger From Premier League Rival

**60% of Chelsea supporters believe that the club should make an attempt to buy Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.**

The Argentinian international has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the past six months and he is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Garnacho’s reported £70m asking price might put the Blues off from making a bid for the winger.

However, a poll conducted by Chelsea News (which has had over 900 respondents) shows that nearly two-thirds of fans think the club should “try to sign” the player from United:

If you press “view results”, you will see that 60.23% of fans voted ‘Yes’, while 39.77% voted ‘No’ in this poll.

Will Chelsea sign another winger this summer?

After paying £55m for Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens, it would be a surprise if Enzo Maresca’s side went after Garnacho as well.

Jadon Sancho’s departure and Mykhailo Mudryk’s suspension mean that there is a lack of left-wingers in the squad, but most believe that fellow new arrival Joao Pedro will be able to cover for Gittens if needed.

You can’t completely rule out an approach for Garnacho, though, considering there have been reports suggesting a [**potential swap deal**](https://chelseanews.com/blog/chelsea-transfer-news-christopher-nkunku-alejandro-garnacho-fans/) involving Christopher Nkunku.

Strengthening the backline will now take priority

-------------------------------------------------

Following the signings of Gittens and Pedro, it is expected that the club’s attention will turn towards bringing in a centre-back and goalkeeper.

A move for AC Milan’s Mike Maignan could be revived, while there is thought to be interest in Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez.

For the centre of defence, Ajax’s Jorrel Hato remains a target, while the Blues have also considered Marc Guehi. The Crystal Palace player is now in the final year of his contract.
