Nottingham Forest have made good use of the free agent market in the past, and there are some interesting names available if they decide to do so again.
Ola Aina arrived on a free transfer two years ago and quickly established himself as a key player for the Reds. Such has been his influence, the club are eager to get him tied down to a new deal.
If Forest are on the lookout for a repeat scenario, they have a vast pool to pick from. A whole host of players are now free agents after their contracts officially expired yesterday (Monday).
At the City Ground, left-back Harry Toffolo and goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey both saw their Reds deals come to an end. Around the Premier League, plenty of others are in the same boat after the June 30 cut-off for deals expiring at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Premier League clubs published their released and retained lists several weeks ago. From today (July 1), out-of-contract stars can join a new club for free.
Some of those affected already have their next move lined up - Trent Alexander-Arnold going to Real Madrid and Kevin De Bruyne going to Napoli, for example. Others, such as Jonny Evans and Adam Lallana, have decided to hang up their boots.
But plenty of free agents just waiting to be snapped up for nothing are still out there and can be officially signed by Forest. Below, we take a look at who is available on a free transfer from every Premier League club.
Arsenal: Thomas Partey.
Aston Villa: Kortney Hause, Robin Olsen (joining Malmo).
Bournemouth: Chris Mepham.
