Marcos Leonardo goals eliminate Erling Haaland's Man City from FIFA Club World Cup

Al-Hilal's last-gasp goal in a 4-3 thriller dumped Manchester City out of the FIFA Club World Cup, as the Saudi Arabian side advanced to the quarter-finals of the competition on Monday, the 30th of June in a match that took place inside the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Al-Hilal had to come-from-behind to get their unlikely win as Bernardo Silva's ninth-minute opener made it look like the EPL giant was marching toward a routine win. However, Marcos Leonardo, in the 46th-minute, scored the first of his two goals that changed the game's complexion entirely.

Malcom scored Al-Hilal's second, just three minutes before Haaland leveled the scoreline for City. The match remained precariously-poised at two goals apiece until the end of 90 minutes, and a carnival atmosphere erupted among Al-Hilal fans with Kalidou Koulibaly's 94th-minute goal pushed his side ahead by a 3-2 score.

Though Phil Foden equalized for City, Leonardo scored once again, midway through the second half of added time, to send City packing from the tournament. Al-Hilal had done it.
