All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they step on the gas with their recruitment.

Arsenal are now ramping up their summer transfer business as Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta get to work on a big list of summer needs. The Gunners need new signings aplenty, with a striker, winger, midfielder, centre-back and goalkeeper all needed ahead of the new season.

The Gunners have already ticked off a couple of those needs in the way of early transfer agreements, and they can now focus on getting that all-important striker in. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Eze talks

Arsenal will reportedly bid to sneak ahead of Tottenham in a bid to snap up Crystal Palace and England star Eberechi Eze this summer. Fabrizio Romano has claimed on X: “Arsenal have made contact with Eberechi Eze’s camp over the weekend. Contacts are taking place for Crystal Palace star with #AFC informed on deal conditions. Tottenham remain also keen on Eze.”

Eze has a release clause worth £68million but it’s reported that Palace may take payment in two instalments. Eze could be ideal for Arsenal because he could fill their winger need while also adding depth behind Martin Odegaard, which is another position where the Gunners need another option. Eze’s best position is probably in the number 10, but he would likely see more playing time out wide.

New Mosquera offer

Arsenal will reportedly up their bid for defender Cristhian Mosquera in the “coming hours”. According to Superdeporte, the Gunners will offer around £12.8million after seeing their first offer rejected by Valencia.

Mosquera is said to be fully on board with joining the Gunners, but Arsenal will need to strike a deal. They are hoping to take advantage of Mosquera’s contract situation. The defender is out of contract next summer and Los Ché have missed a big chance to tie him down, with the player having been keen to pen a new deal until recently when he ran out of patience.

Watkins claim

Arsenal are still interested in a deal to sign Ollie Watkins, according to Mick Brown. He told Football Insider: “Arsenal are still interested in Ollie Watkins. From what I hear, he’s keen to make that move to Arsenal because he supported them as a boy. Mikel Arteta wants to sign a striker and appreciates what Watkins can do, so it’s a move that looks like it would be best for all parties.

“It doesn’t always work that way, but it’s a move everybody is keen to get over the line. He wants to play regular football in the coming season to make sure he’s in the England squad for the World Cup next summer. From what I hear, he’s prepared to take the chance of going to Arsenal and become their number nine.

“I think he’s got a good chance of establishing himself there because he would go in as the best option in his position in a side who want to win the league. The only issue at the moment is that Arsenal are still considering a number of players for that position. I think Watkins will be one they go for if they miss out on somebody else, so it’s not a move which is going to happen in the next few days for example. That might not be ideal for Villa and their financial situation.”
